London 2012 Olympics

Great Britain hosted the 2012 Summer Olympics. All gold medal winners had a postbox in their home town painted gold in honour of their victory. We visited Bradford-On-Avon to see the gold postbox for Ed McKeever who won Britains 26th gold in the mens 200m kayak sprint. I also had the opportunity to hold an Olympic torch. The torchbearer was a 91 year old lady from Trowbridge who had been recognised for her work to the community. She had already received an MBE in 2008 for her services to the community. Unfortunately she had to go to Shepton Mallet to participate in the event.
